The country’s biggest and longest-running travel expo, the Philippine Travel Mart, once again drew the spotlight at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from September 5 to 7, 2025. The three-day event gathered major players in the tourism industry, including airlines, hotels, travel and tour operators, national agencies, DOT regional offices, and local government units, all offering special travel packages and discounts.

To maximize this opportunity, the Provincial Government of Occidental Mindoro, through the Provincial Tourism Division, secured a booth to further strengthen the promotion of the province’s tourism products. In partnership with MPDR Travel and Tour and Te And’s Handicrafts, the booth featured a range of tourism offerings alongside local handicrafts and souvenir items. The initiative also created opportunities for local exhibitors to build networks and partnerships vital for tourism marketing and promotion.

The Provincial Tourism Division views this participation as a valuable platform to gradually introduce both existing tourism products and potential attractions currently in development. With the full support of Governor Eduardo B. Gadiano, the province aims to continue its strong presence in similar tourism expositions and highlight the diverse travel experiences that “OksiMin,” has to offer.
