As part of the Provincial Tourism Office’s initiative to monitor tourist arrivals and ensure smooth travel during the Holy Week season, simultaneous monitoring was conducted on April 16, 2025, at key entry points—Abra de Ilog Port and San Jose Airport. Promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and souvenirs, were also distributed to travelers as part of the province’s ongoing tourism promotion efforts.
Many visitors opted to return to the province on this date to avoid the expected surge of passengers, particularly at Batangas Port, where certain shipping lines had announced a “no sailing” policy for April 18, Good Friday. Despite the increase in passenger volume, operations at the province’s major ports remained orderly and efficient.
Municipal Tourism Offices across Occidental Mindoro activated their respective tourist assistance desks to cater to visitor concerns and inquiries. In preparation for the holiday, local tourism officers also conducted early monitoring of popular destinations to ensure readiness and safety.
The Provincial Tourism Office remains committed to providing a seamless and welcoming experience for all travelers visiting the province.
