The Basic Tourism Statistics Training (BTST) held on July 10-11, 2024, at the Provincial Training Center aimed to boost local tourism management skills. Organized by the PGO-Tourism Division and the Department of Tourism – MIMAROPA, the event featured key speakers including Hon. Angelina F. Tria, Municipal Mayor of Mamburao and Mr. Rexel D. Tuscano, who both emphasized the significance of the training in growing the province’s tourism industry.

The training covered Philippine tourism statistics, MIMAROPA tourist arrivals, and effective data collection methods. Participants engaged in workshops, discussions, and learned about the tourLISTA web application for offline data management. The event concluded with a Q&A session and closing program, laying a strong foundation for enhancing local tourism initiatives.
