Calawagan River is declared as the National Hall of Fame Awardee as the Cleanest River in the Philippines awarded by the Department of Interior and Local Government from 1996-1998. The Calawagan Mountain Resort is located at the Barangay Alipaoy, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro and it is at the foot of Mount Calavite Wildlife Sanctuary. The beautiful rock formations and the neighboring forest, which is home to numerous species that can only be found in Paluan, are also things to see and enjoy in this gorgeous spot together with the clean, chilly, and refreshing water of the river.
