The first-ever Motorcycle loop has made its rounds on the beautiful island of Mindoro!

As our support to the promotion of moto tourism on the island of Mindoro, the Provincial Government of Occidental Mindoro through the Provincial Tourism Office supported the conduct of the first-ever Mindoro Island Loop Motorcycle Adventour organized by the Provincial Tourism Office of our sister province, Oriental Mindoro on February 10, 2024.

More than 200 riders from all over the Philippines participated in this event, finishing the twelve (12) checkpoints in the famous destinations and landmarks in Oriental and Occidental Mindoro. The riders took off from Calapan City at 5:00 in the morning via roads from Puerto Galera to Abra de Ilog. The first rider to make it back to Calapan City which is also the finished line, arrived at 10:54 in the morning with a total of 5 hours and 54 minute ride around the island.

With our island now more accessible and the road from Puerto Galera to Abra de Ilog finally passable, events like this are more likely to happen since our island offers a wide highway with a scenic view of our mountains and ocean. With this kind of initiative and help from our moto tourism enthusiasts, the Provincial Tourism Office of Occidental Mindoro is committed to assisting and promoting motor tourism and making our island a destination for this activity.
